The New Now by Berluti
A cool breeze is blowing through the overcast streets of Paris from the Palais Royal garden to the Louvre and the arcades of the Rue de Rivoli. As the new season emerges, so does a new silhouette: its outlines are strong, yet its demeanour is fluid and relaxed.
It’s a new take on modernity. One in which classic elegance shines through a contemporary silhouette.
In which formally cut tailoring meets a sense of functionality. In this blend of creativity, heritage and know-how, straight bomber jackets in Berluti’s signature patinated leather are paired equally with tailored trousers and joggers.
Suede shirt-jackets and blazers are worn over tee-shirts and turtlenecks. From wool to cashmere, luxurious fabrics are accented by workwear details, including patch pockets, double stitching and visible buttoning. Touches of teal, cognac, tan and beige clash with shades of black, charcoal, coffee fudge and deep blue in an understated yet elevated palette.
Leather goods are no exception: two seasonal patinas - Steel Blue and Elephant Grey - take over iconic Berluti bags including the Un Jour briefcase, the Toujours tote and the versatile Time Off backpack.
And, when it comes to shoes, comfort is key. In its latest iteration, the classic Playtime sneaker assembles Scritto-engraved calf leather and colourful suede. Made of perforated, patinated leather, Fast Track bridges the distance between casual and formal. And, in an extravagant cashmere mesh version, the newest Shadow rises as the perfect nonchalant finishing touch for a look that is as bold as it is timeless.
