Berluti is bringing a breezy, sunny estival mood into the Summer 2024 collection.
Comprising a tote bag as well as a range of sandals and casual leather shoes, this latest story is especially conceived for getaways and idle days spent lounging by the glassy blue waters of a swimming pool or the ocean.
The Summer collection cultivates attention to lightweight materials and lightness of construction. Overdyed softly-structured linen suits with trousers in shades of blue refine a summer classic. A navy ripstop blouson with matching trousers embody the ease of generational suiting. A perforated navy leather blouson translates an autumnal trope into the language of summer. The signifiers known from the Maison’s accessories are converted into garments: the Scritto pattern embellishes the pockets of linen shirts, the half-zip of the Un Jour bag assimilates onto chinos, and the B logo features as embroideries on knitwear. A new graphic composed of shoes and bags illustrations appears in the prints of shirting and the intarsia of knitwear.
A true collector’s item, this season’s lightweight, XL tote bag is crafted from a natural cotton linen canvas covered in illustrated renderings of Berluti’s icons, from Alessandro to Andy and Un Jour. This print is paired with leather edging details on the sides, a leaf-shaped bombé snap closure cover, and a bright cotton linen lining. A removable zipped pouch that fits into an inside pocket completes the details. A playful take on the fusion of accessories and garments, these illustrations appear in the prints of some of the shirts found in the collection as well. Summer accessories embrace a relaxed sensibility elevated through historical signatures.
Mixing the open design of a sandal and the comfort and support of a sneaker, the new Shadow sandal offers the best of both worlds: an unapologetically modern spirit and a functional construction. It features a distinctive rubber outsole with an anatomical footbed for extra comfort. Three different uppers are available: a mesh knit one, true to the original Shadow sneaker design, complete with a logo leather tag; a fully patinated Venezia one with an all-over laser-engraved Scritto motif; and a patinated Venezia and leather one with criss-crossing straps, raw edges and Scritto detailing.
